I lived in Denver for about six months back in '81 and loved it. Of course, I would have loved it more if I'd been able to find a job there. Other downside: it's where I met my first wife.
I have a brother who lives near Denver. I really liked out there when I went to his wedding.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">But the new "look" on the Freep is pretty sad too. Tons of white space, trying to look like an e-journal or something.Originally posted by Andyman:
That's why I read the Detroit Free Press. My wifey buys the Sunday Flint Journal for the ads and coupons. It is a serious waste of paper.

So why are you moving to 'rado? Other than the aforementioned reasons?
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I moved them from Oscoda, two hours north. It makes Linden (where they are NOW) look cosmopolitan. Heck, on the way up I saw a sign advertising "Bear Bait, Chocolate Icing." Not a great place for lunch, I take it
BTW-It's "up" to my area not down. I'm not "down" north from you (unless your parents are north of me).
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I'm sorry, to me it's not "classic" unless there's a harpsichord and cello involved.
BTW II-we have 3 fuggin' "classic rock" stations...all the Foreigner and Styx you can eat for one low price!
And the Free Press had a big front page headline today proclaiming "Lone Star Lickin'"
Is analingus the sort of thing you want on the front page?
It sounds like (fortunately in this case) that we get the earlier editions so we weren't privy to that headline.
Also, the "new" format for the Freep is their way of getting ready for their new presses. What you see now as extra wide margins will eventually be a smaller paper with smaller margins.
That's cool of you to help out your sis.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Shucks, it's something any of you guys would do too... She's even getting me a job managing the campus bookstore at the college she works at, so I can drive her to work for a while. Family is a STRONG bond, and since I'm not married, it's easy for me to go and help out.Originally posted by Andyman:
